Valentine’s Day Oreo-Filled Chocolate Hearts Recipe
Ingredients/Supplies
- 22 Oreo Cookies (filling removed, & crushed)
- 1/2 pkg. (4 oz.) Cream Cheese (room temp.)
- 1 1/2 cup Light Pink Candy Melts
- Coconut Oil (optional)
- White Wilton Cookie Icing
- Small Heart Silicone Mold (24 cavity)
Instructions
Add candy melts to Wilton Candy Melt Pot.
If you don’t have the Wilton Candy Melt Pot you may melt the candy melts on a double boiler over low heat. Add coconut oil (optional) if candy melts become too thick.
Pour candy melts into 1/3 of each heart cavity. Lightly tap silicone mold to counter to release air bubbles. Place in freezer for 15 minutes.
Separate the Oreo cookie from the Oreo filling. Devour the Oreo filling or use for another delicious recipe.
Blend (by hand or electric mixer) Oreo cookie crumbs and room temperature cream cheese.
Remove heart mold from freezer. Press Oreo mixture into middle 1/3 of each heart cavity.
Pour candy melts into 1/3 top of each heart cavity.
Lightly tap silicone mold to counter to release air bubbles. Place in freezer 15 minutes.
Remove heart mold from freezer. Gently remove candy melt heart bites from mold.
Slowly decorate heart tops with white Wilton cookie icing. Allow to set.
You could even write your favorite Valentine quotes or sayings on the tops of the hearts. Enjoy!
