Feel Good Energy for the Busy Mom
Moms, we are all so busy, right? Whether you’re working, running errands, cooking supper or just tidying up the house there is always something to do. I feel like I never have enough hours in the day to get everything done. I’m always rushing out the door or rushing home to meet a work deadline. I am always in need of some great feel good energy. I’m sure there’s lots of busy moms out there that feel the same way!
How do you get your feel good energy once you start to drag during the day? Since I work from home I’m able to jump up as needed to get a break or just relax for a few minutes. I say relax but I never do. I’m always at full force no matter the time of day. There is always something that needs to be done. I do love being able to go outside. It’s more work because I’m always doing something but it’s definitely a nice break from working indoors sitting at the computer.
Here’s some great tips I use to get feel good energy:
Tip 1 – Start your day off right
Be sure you’re eating breakfast every morning. I’m guilty on this one. I always fix my son breakfast but often skip it myself. I’m working on this one! Also, try staying more active in the morning. I am the most productive in the morning. I get up early, get my chores done and get right to work. For those of you that enjoy hitting the snooze button and sleeping in… stop, please! I guarantee you will feel much better throughout the day.
Tip 2 – Get moving
If you work at a computer all day like me it can be hard to stay active and get moving. Luckily, I work from home and can get up moving any time of the day I want. I feed cattle and do chores every morning and late afternoon. I also try to get up moving mid-afternoon and before bed. It also helps me stay focused and much more productive. Other ideas are taking a walk of an evening or exercising. I always save the evening for family. I try to shut down the computer and focus on family time.
