Being from Canada I have never thought to vacation in San Antonio. Perhaps if we plan a vacation to the US we will consider this as an option since it looks like there is a lot to do there. My son would certainly enjoy it!

MY HUSBAND AND I WENT TO SEA WORLD- ORLANDO, TEN YEARS AGO! IT WAS THE MOST FUN THAT I HAD EVER HAD AND HIM TOO! THE ONLY BAD PART WAS, YOU NEED MORE THAN 1 DAY TO SEE EVERYTHING THERE WAS TO SEE AND DO!! I USED MORE THAN 12 ROLLS OF FILM (36 EXPOSURES) AND STILL RAN OUT OF FILM!! IT IS A GREAT FAMILY DESTINATION!!!
Neat, there are alot of things to do. I would love to visit

We just visited San Antonio last May and this would have been a great help to us! Next time I know where to look for savings and I DO hope to go back, it’s a lovely city! I highly recommend the River Walk and taking a day trip out to the wine country near by. And no trip is complete without seeing the Alamo!

Thank you for the savings suggestions; would love to visit San Antonio one of these days (my husband already has, but would love to go as a family). 🙂
I must personally remember the Alamo.
Having fun and saving –THATS what I call FUN!!!
San Antonio sounds like a great place to visit
WOW.I learned you can save a lot of money with discounts, coupons, and limited time offers. Great info! thanks
Doing your discount “homework” before you go on vacation is JUST as important as making reservations. Spending a few hours (or evenings) online comparing prices will not only save you money, but it also frees up money for fun family attractions, nice dinners or “mommy/daddy’s vaca date”… things that you might not have been able to do if you had paid “full price”. That and who doesn’t love a free room upgrade or being able to stay at the motel with the pool (or room service breakfast-in-bed)?!?! So worth taking the time!
That looks like so much fun! I wish we could afford it. I guess we will just have to save.
who knew san antonio had such great attractions. definitely an option for family vacation!
My husband visited San Antonio about a year ago for work and he fell in love with the place. We will be going down there in a few months and we are sooo excited to see this wonderful place. Lucky the ones that live there!
I’d love to visit Texas someday –San Antonio is now at the top of the list!
drove past some interesting places in san antonio last year on on our way home from sea world definitely wanna go back and check out the river walk and most definitely the Alamo! My husband, our son and I only moved here to Texas in June 2010 so it has only been a little over two years and its a very large place. We are currently 20 minutes outside Austin so San Antonio is not far at all from the places I already wanted to see there and now ready this think maybe if my husband can secure a 3 day weekend off it would be great to spend the weekend checking out the tourist spots, but even mores the vast historical places san antonio offers! My husband and I are huge history buffs and want our son to know the history and culture of his country we want him to grow up to be just as proud to be americans as his parents are, and to learn about and respect his ancestral past so he too can be a patriotic and contributing member of this great country! The country so many of his relatives and ancestors fought to defend not to mention the ones close to him such as his Uncle and Godfather Liam Norton who served several tours in Iraq and Afghanistan in the United States Army and now continues to do so as a current member of the National Guard. I want him to learn, understand and respect what his family fights for and why they do it so he is as proud of them as we are and hope he one day follows in the footsteps of his heroic godfather/uncle! =)
I love SA, I use to live in Kerville, San Antonio was the closest city! The Alamo is my favorite place to visit while there!
I love the San Antonio Zoo! I have such fond memories from my childhood about the San Antonio zoo. There were some other great places on this list to add to my “to visit” list for my family. 🙂
I love when you can get coupons for vacations. We live far from San Antonio…bummer. However if I am ever that way I will be looking for coupons & discounts.
I can’t wait to take my son to Splash Town! I have a friend in San Antonio & this would be such a great “excuse” to go visit! Thanks!
I love to enter contest , Love getting coupons and freebies
I <3 SAN ANTONIO!!! I went with my husband this last January and out baby who was only 4 months old. We stayed right on the riverwalk and checked out some great attractions. When my daughter is older we are going to go back again!! San Antonio is home to the nicest people!
I will look into San Antonio for my next holiday.

Aside from the 100+ heat during the summer, San Antonio is an awesome place to vacation. There is so much to do that you will always have something different to do each day! We haven’t been for a couple of years and I think it’s time to go back maybe for a weekend when it cools down some! We live 3 hrs away! 😉

I was lucky enough to visit San Antonio 20 years ago to visit my dad. He is gone now and it is one of my very favorite memories. We got to do take a boat up around the RiverWalk and it was so enchanting, just stopping off here or there to get ice cream or to shop. I loved the history of the town too. My kids want to go to southern Texas and if we ever get there, I’d for sure take the time to go back. The Westin on the riverwalk would be dreamy! Thanks for all the great deals info!

I wish I’d known about this when I visited San Antonio earlier this summer! Oh well, I can use this the next time I visit. I’m particularly excited about the hotel discounts–I love the Drury Inn across from Six Flags (good location and free internet, drinks, dinner, breakfast, and parking garage usage) but it’s kind of expensive to stay there, so the SAVE discount would let me get a better rate without compromising on quality.
If I were going to spend my vacation dollars somewhere else than Orlando, San Antonio would be 3rd on my list. (ComiCon being second.) I have been to Sea World in San Diego and Orlando and really think I should see them all.
our family would love to go to San Antonio…or anywhere besides home!
Been to San Antonio 4 times. Anybody with kids would love it!

Thank you for the “savings” info for traveling to San Antonio. I have been to El Paso (my Dad’s birthplace) to visit relatives and to Dallas – for a Toy Show with my job. Visiting San Antonio sounds like a great place to vacation with the family, especially as we live in Calif, so transporation costs would be minimal, as we could simply drive there.
