I am headed back to LA next week for the Ratchet & Clank movie press trip! If you or your kids enjoy playing PlayStation then you might recognize Ratchet & Clank because it’s based on the popular video game!

Ratchet & Clank is a CG-animated movie where two unlikely heroes struggle to stop a vile alien named Chairman Drek (voice of Paul Giamatti) from destroying every planet in the Solana Galaxy. Ratchet (voice of James Arnold Taylor) is the last of his kind, a foolhardy “lombax” who has grown up alone on a backwater planet with no family of his own. Clank (voice of David Kaye) is a pint-sized robot with more brains than brawn. When the two stumble upon a dangerous weapon capable of destroying entire planets, they must join forces with a team of colorful heroes called The Galactic Rangers in order to save the galaxy. Along the way, they will learn about heroism, friendship, and the importance of discovering one’s own identity.

Ratchet & Clank is directed by Kevin Munroe (TMNT) and co-directed by Jericca Cleland. It is written by TJ Fixman, Kevin Munroe and Gerry Swallow. The voice cast includes Paul Giamatti, John Goodman, Bella Thorne, Rosario Dawson, Jim Ward, James Arnold Taylor, David Kaye, Armin Shimerman, and Sylvester Stallone.
During my press trip I will have the opportunity to attend a press screening of at the Real D theater in Beverly Hills and after off to enjoy a press dinner at Caufield’s at our hotel, SIXTY Beverly Hills. The next day we will have another screening and press conference with Bella Thorne (voice of Cora), James Arnold Taylor (voice of Ratchet) and Kevin Munroe (director).

I have not heard or seen previews for this movie in my area yet. I like to keep an eye out for new family friendly movies and make a date night with my oldest grandchild.
