We all love a night in front of the television with our family once in awhile. It’s a great chance to snuggle up and relax after a stressful day. It’s also ideal when the weather starts to take a turn for the worse, and we can’t go outside. Here are some tips to make your living room cozy and perfect for snuggling!
Add a fireplace to the room
One tip to make your living room cozy is to add a fireplace to your room. It’s a great way to add some heat in the living room, when it’s getting cold outside. It also creates a relaxing atmosphere in your lounge so everyone stays comfortable. If you aren’t lucky enough to have a real log fire in your lounge, you can put buy a modern fireplace with a log fire effect insert, so it feels like the real deal. You can even put it on the wall, so it doesn’t take up much room in your lounge! Fireplaces are highly sought-after by potential buyers, so adding one to your home might spark up interest when you do come to sell!
Add some dimmable LED lights
Another tip to make your living cozy is to add some dimmable LED lights in your lounge. It’s a great way to build a cozy atmosphere. You can adjust it, so it’s darker when you need to. They are perfect for keeping some light in the room while making it darker enough to enjoy the TV show or movie.
Add cushions and a blanket to the sofa
An additional tip you need to make your living room cozy is to add some cushions and a blanket to your sofa. You can then rest your head on the cushions while relaxing in front of the television. A blanket is also a great way to get comfortable in your living room, without having to drag down the duvet! It can get cold in winter months in your living room, so a blanket such as vellux blanket will ensure you keep comfortable as it retains heat. Sitting on the sofa with some cushions and a blanket will give the room a cozy feel!
Go for dark walls
Another tip you need to make your living room cozy is to go for some dark walls. It will give the room a cozy factor when you are relaxing in there at night. You should go for a gray or a black to make your living room feel inviting in winter. You could have a statement wall which is slightly brighter if you want the room to look great in the day.
Add a rug
You should also add a rug to the room to make it look more cozy. You can rest your toes on it so they can stay comfortable while you are sitting in your living room. And as this feature reveals, go for a faux fur material to help make the room more pleasant and toasty! You can make your own to save some money. Also, you can double up to pull off a beautiful look in the living room.
Hopefully, these tips will ensure you have some great cozy nights in front of the TV with your family!

These tips do give the room some romantic abeyance. But we don’t have that romantic fireplace. And if I went ahead and had one put in, my marriage would be over! This has been kind of a sore spot between us! I even suggested one of those beautiful electronic ones! We do have the dimming lights. I believe that you have to keep the spark alive!
