We welcomed a new puppy into our hearts this past year. My husband thought the name Rooster would be clever. I’m still scratching my head at that one considering we have chickens and roosters… which one are we calling? He’s the cutest thing though with his short Corgi legs and a mix of Blue Heeler/Australian Shepherd. He joined a big barnyard of animals and is adjusting to our seventeen cats but it seems he has made the best of friends with my horse Smoky. I have been searching for a food he’ll love so I was excited to take part in this paid blogging program with Megan Media and Petco’s Wholehearted. Keep in mind that the opinions and ideas expressed here are my own.
I stopped by our local Petco the other day to find him a grain-free dog food. I was excited to stumble upon Petco’s new Wholehearted Dog Food in both wet and dry food. All of the Wholehearted Dog Food products are grain-free. They also come in a variety of different flavors including: Salmon & Pea, Chicken & Pea and Beef & Pea. I noticed they offer it for small and large breed dogs as well as for both puppies and adult dogs. It’s a great food our puppy can grow with and enjoy for years to come.
I immediately noticed that Petco’s Wholehearted dog food has great ingredients! I love that the food is packed with Omega-3 Fatty Acids for a healthy skin and coat. The Wholehearted Dog Food contains no corn, wheat, soy or grains of any kind which I know is what our puppy needs. What I love the most about the Wholehearted dog food is that is reasonably priced but packed with vitamins and minerals for balanced nutrition. An added bonus is that the antioxidant formula makes for healthy immunity.
And so now it was time for the taste test. Rooster can be a timid doggy with his tiny legs and big body. He’s a bit awkward but knows his way around a good meal. He had to sniff everything out first.
I got a huge variety of the Wholehearted dog food to see what he might like best. The winning wet food so far is the Chicken & Fish flavor. He absolutely loves it! So far for the dry food he’s on the Beef & Pea flavor. He’s loving it. I also grabbed the Salmon & Pea, and am excited for him to try it soon.

My Molly is fourteen years old and I like to keep her healthy and around a lot more. Healthy eating is the way to go.
Because I want my dogs to live longer healthier lives. I’ve been feeding them grain free food for years now
I think it will be great for daughter’s dog – nutritious and reasonably priced.
We have 3 dogs and the oldest is getting up there in years but he doesn’t know it! This would help him live a longer, better life still believing he is a big puppy!
I have 2 rescues and I am definitely going to check out that beef&pea flavored one.
My baby has skin issues and we have been trying all different types of food to see which will help her the most!
This will make it easier to give them a balanced diet.

It’s very important for my dog to eat the best food, so that he may live a long and HEALTHY life.

I took my dog Levi in a couple years ago. He was a stray and must not have been treated very good. He had no hair snd was skittish. We have lived him and he has grown so sweet. We aren’t always able to give him the best of dog food so I know this would help him get some nutrients he needs and would make me feel good doing it for him
I’m looking for healthy food for my dogs that they like to eat.
