Perfect Game Day Grub with Alexia Frozen Fries & Rings

Are you ready for game day? Do you find yourself cooking all day and find yourself worn out by the time the big game rolls around? This year I will be preparing super easy game day grub so I can enjoy the day with my family and not spend the whole day in the kitchen.

The other day while I was at Walmart I found a new product in the frozen food aisle…

Alexia Frozen Fries & RingsAlexia frozen fries and rings! Yum! They looked so delicious and offered a variety of flavors. I decided to give them a try and selected the Sweet Potato Fries with Sea Salt, Smart Classics Crinkle Cut Fries and the Crispy Onion Rings.

Alexia Frozen FriesI thought these would pair perfect with juicy cheeseburgers and signature dipping sauces for game day!Alexia Frozen Fries

My goal for our game day grub… simple yet delicious!

I always like to add extra seasoning to dishes even if they are already cooked and frozen. Before adding the frozen fries I added some seasoning and olive oil to them. Very simple. I laid the fries out on a baking sheet, added olive oil and the following spices: onion powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper, cayenne pepper and tarragon leaves. I then baked them according to the easy directions on the back of the bag.

I created two signature sauces for the Alexia sweet potato fries, crinkle cut fries and onion rings. Okay, they are super simple and I’m sure many people do these the same way but we’ve been creating them for years so I thought I’d share them with you. The best part is they only require a few ingredients.Alexia Frozen Fries

Sweet Potato Fries Dipping Sauce

Ingredients

  • Ketchup
  • Mayo
  • Cayenne Pepper

Directions

  1. Mix 3 Tablespoons mayo with 1 Tablespoon ketchup.
  2. Sprinkle in about a 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper or more to taste.
  3. Stir.

For a large party you can easily increase each recipe.Alexia Frozen Fries

Spicy Ranch Dipping Sauce

Ingredients

  • Ranch
  • Cayenne Pepper

Directions

  1. Mix Ranch and cayenne pepper to taste.
  2. You can easily adjust the spice level by adding more ranch or cayenne pepper.

I also cooked delicious cheeseburgers. Instead of using onions, I topped each burger with Alexia Frozen Crispy Onion Rings. Delicious!Alexia Frozen Fries

I always bake french fries and onion rings. They already have an oil coating on them. They also taste just as good baked without all the extra fat.

I’m a little late for game day…but this is usually our Saturday meal. I like your tip about a little olive oil on the fries before baking, this should crisp them up nicely. And thanks for sharing the sweet potatoe dipping sauce. So easy, yet it will spice things up nicely.
