Saturday night my family and I seen the biggest performers on four wheels! Yes, I’m talking about monster trucks! We attended the Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam in Kansas City. Our first stop before we got our seats was to purchase some ear plugs. I seen the monster trucks when I was little and remember them being very loud so I knew we’d want to plug our ears. We were in section 110 and had awesome seats. The Sprint Center was really packed.
Our son had the biggest grin from ear to ear the whole night. The monster trucks first raced one another two at a time on the custom-designed track. The massive twelve-feet-tall, ten-thousand-pound machines roared through the obstacles, crushing cars, and jumping over them. They had a wide variety of monster trucks like a firetruck, dog, super man, and the infamous Grave Digger. Our son knew he had to have a Grave Digger t-shirt on our way out.
They also shot t-shirts in the air to the crowd with tickets for future events and monster truck shows. I wish we could have gotten some of those especially for the upcoming motocross events. They even had some of the drivers go into the crowd and give out autographs and other things to kids. I loved how they interacted with the audience to get everyone involved.
Our favorite part was in the last half of the performance when the monster trucks came out to do the freestyle rounds. Each truck was scored on their performance. We really enjoyed them all but Grave Digger was probably our favorite. It was a great show for our family and I highly suggest it if you have boys that love trucks! I seen all ages there so even if you don’t have kids it’s a great show to taken in for the weekend.
