The bandit and I went to the Wooden Tow Truck clinic this past weekend. He was beyond excited! Anything trucks or tractors and building he is sold on. We had signed up online a few weeks before to make sure we had our spot reserved. When we arrived we were directed to the back of the store to the lumber area. They had several tables set up for the children and parents. A lady stood at a small table where we showed her our registration we printed out at home. We had to sign a form to release them of any liability. I guess that means when the bandit smashed his thumb he couldn’t sue them. LOL

After filling out the paperwork, the lady gave us a packaged wooden tow truck kit, apron, goggles, hammer, and piece of wood to work on. When we opened up the kit everything was neatly organized with instructions. I had to assist hammering a few small items that were actually hard to get to, but the bandit done most everything himself. He flew through it and was done in a flash! He did smash his finger once and had a small blood blister, but didn’t even flinch! The finishing touch – adding the stickers!

Of course, he couldn’t leave the store without getting a picture in front of the John Deere lawnmowers. He didn’t understand why he couldn’t drive one around the store. Silly, silly 🙂

The next Build & Grow Clinic is Saturday July 23, 2011 at 10 am CST and it looks like wooden binoculars! Be sure to register online – we already have! As many kids that were there, they have to fill up quickly. They take the first 50 kids. And if you are more than 15 minutes late it says they will give your spot to someone else! On August 13, 2011 they will be creating School House Photo Holders, just in time for back to school!

I’ll see if the bandit will do a video review of this for you and show you his new wooden tow truck! He had to paint it with watercolors when we arrived home, so it is very colorful!

Reserve your spot today!
