Cancer has an impact on nearly everyone in some way. Whether it’s yourself, a close friend or family member, we all have a cancer story. I’m joining “The Fight” with Taboo from the Black Eyed Peas.
What if today was your last day or you were told you weren’t going to survive cancer? What would you do or say? Taboo took the darkness of fighting cancer to create his new single, “The Fight”.
Cancer is the second most common cause of death in the US, exceeded only by heart disease, and accounts for nearly 1 of every 4 deaths. I recently lost a friend to cancer. It was her third fight. She was only 36 years old, the same age as me, with three young children. She was an amazing person and loved by our community.
My grandmother was also diagnosed with cancer near the end of her years. She was an amazing lady and I miss her so much. She gave me so much inspiration and was a true believer in working hard to accomplish your goals. We can all work hard together to support Taboo’s story and the American Cancer Society. Watch the video below to learn more about Taboo and “The Fight”.
Although I am very sad many pass away from cancer, it is encouraging to know that we can help save lives by supporting “The Fight” and the American Cancer Society to learn more about cancer.
Taboo is a survivor and has been cancer free for two years! Do you have an amazing cancer story like this to share? It’s such an inspiration for many that currently have cancer or a loved one currently fighting.
70% of the profits from “The Fight” song downloads will go the the American Cancer Society to help raise funds to support the fight against cancer. In 2016 in the U.S., there will be an estimated 1,685,210 new cancer cases and 595,690 cancer deaths. Breast cancer ranks second as a cause of cancer death in women.
Join us, Taboo and the American Cancer Society to help support others with this grueling disease by downloading “The Fight” today! Taboo has been given the gift of motivation, inspiration, hope and movement. He’s excited about living and sharing his story to inspire others.

I am the Relay For Life Survivor Chair in Fort Worth Texas. I am also a cancer survivor. I would like to ask Taboo if he would be available to perform, attend and/or share his story at our Telay event on April 15th in Fort Worth at Panther Oatk. Please let me know if or how to contact him to ask. Thank you for your help.
