How to Host and Plan the Perfect Christmas Party
Christmas is quickly approaching so that means lots of wonderful time spent with family and friends. Will you be hosting a Christmas party this year? If so, we have some great tips for you to host the perfect Christmas party.
Plan Ahead
You should already be planning your party. I suggest planning at the very least a few weeks in advance. Think about how many people you want to invite and that you will have enough decorations, food, gifts, etc. Will you have it at your home or do you need to reserve a location?

Decor
You don’t have to go to the store and purchase every Christmas decoration you can find. Work with what you already have at home. Don’t go overboard! Keep it simple. I love simplicity. To stay on budget purchase your decorations at Walmart, Target, Amazon, TJ Maxx or even the Dollar Store.
Here’s some great suggestions on what you can use to decorated indoors:
- garland
- pine cones
- Christmas trees
- lights
- pictures
- mistletoe
- wreaths
- candles
Invite Guests
To invite your guests you can call them or invite them on Facebook but there’s nothing better than an invitation sent in the mail. Be sure to send a few weeks in advance. Everyone’s schedules get jam-packed during the holidays.
Want to print your own invitations? Try these Free Printable Christmas Invitation Templates or you can send online Christmas evites.
Be sure to use a proper table setting if it will be a fancier party.
Food
Will you serve a full course meal, appetizers or desserts? Keep in mind your theme for your party and what guests will be coming. Of course, if kids are coming you will want to keep them in mind when fixing the food.
