How to Decorate for Fall with Candles

A time honored tradition for decorating your home for the fall and holiday season is by using a variety of heavenly scented candles. You can find candles in a wide variety of shapes, sizes and scents that accent your fall decor. When guests enter your home them can get a sense of fall by your decor and the scent of your candles. Here’s a few ideas on how to decorate for fall with candles.

Use a variety of sizes. I love using Chesapeake Bay Candles because they have such an amazing selection to choose from that can fit into anyone’s decor. When selecting your candles be sure to select a variety of sizes. I suggest candles in small, medium, large and votive sizes. Cluster various sizes of candles on a side table or even the side of your bath tub.

Add fall decor. When placing your candles in different areas of the home, be sure to add other decorative accents. For fall you can add bittersweet, decorative pumpkins and other accents around the candles.

Line a staircase or a ladder. Line small pillar candles or votives down the side of your staircase. Or, use a decorative ladder to display on the wall horizontally and place votives in it for a unique glow.

Use in a tablescape. Maybe you’re decorating for a fall party or want a decorative table top for fall. Use candles to accent the table down the middle.

Use unexpected vessels. You can use a variety of sizes and place the candles in gorgeous glass vases or even wine glasses. I love using clear glass containers so you can see the beauty of the candles. Or, turn a wine glass upside down, placing the candle on top of the overturned bottom for a unexpected display.

Add texture. I used a variety of textures and even candy scattered over a plain cake stand. You could even use small stones or marbles to add a unique touch.
