As you know, we live on a farm. We raise cattle, have four horses, a boat load of cats, and a very hyper dog. Right now we are in the middle of fall calving time. I love checking them every morning and evening to see what new baby calves we might have awaiting us in the pasture. They are… so. darn. cute! Our cows were bred to an Angus bull and some to a Charolais bull. Angus cattle are black and Charolais cattle are white. So, our darling little calves are either black or a mousey color. I wanted to share some pictures of them with you all.
These two little stinkers below are sucking off the same cow. Do you think we have twins? Or, do you think we have a grand theft milk robbery on our hands? I’m still trying to figure it out. I obviously know one goes with this cow, but haven’t caught the other calf sucking off any other cow. I’m hoping it’s twins. Normally when there are twins the cow doesn’t accept one and you have to bottle feed it or one of them is a lot smaller. Both of these calves are big and very healthy…
