Since we live in the country and a few hours from Kansas City we do not have access to many of the unique fresh ingredient delivery services available. Even though we do raise our own food every summer in our garden, we don’t get to enjoy all of those fresh ingredients throughout the winter without making a run to the grocery store. To receive my first box from Hello Fresh I signed up and picked a plan depending on my dietary preferences, schedule and household size. You can select from 3 different plans: classic, veggies or family. Since our son is eleven and not a picky eater, I selected the classic plan but if you have younger children the family plan is a great choice. You select the day your box is delivered to your door, free of charge.

I love that the box comes packed with everything you need from the fresh ingredients to the meat and down to even flour. You’ll also receive the recipes but they can also be accessed when you log in to your account on your desktop or using the Hello Fresh app on any device. Plus, you don’t have to be home to accept a delivery. The boxes are so well packed and layered with an isolating wool and ice packs to keep ingredients farm fresh and cool until you get home. The box even includes great kitchen facts!

We recently reviewed Home Bistro, chef prepared home delivered meals, which we absolutely loved. The difference between Home Bistro and Hello Fresh is one you prepare and the other you reheat. If you’re looking for a way to create recipes with fresh ingredients then Hello Fresh is the way to go. Even though Hello Fresh recipes are normally only around 30 minutes to prepare, Home Bistro is the way to go if you’re looking for something quick.

I know there are so many different meal delivery services out there but Hello Fresh and Home Bistro are my favorites. We’ve tried them, tasted them and give them both a thumbs up!
