Back to School Drive to Benefit Joplin Schools
We have all heard about the devastation from the deadly twister that tore through Joplin, MO in May 2011. What we don’t hear is all the classrooms and children that are in desperate need for school supplies. The massive tornado completely destroyed some of Joplin schools. The Giveaway Bandit is launching a Back to School Drive to benefit these children and schools.
Passport to Frugal has listed items they are in desperate need of you can view here. She also keeps an update at the bottom of the page of supplies that have been donated.
The Kansas City Royals are holding an Annual Back to School Drive to Benefit Joplin Schools. If you are in the Kansas City area, this will be held August 4 and 5, 2011 from 6-8 pm. Go here for more information.
Basic school supplies and backpacks. In addition, we encourage fans to donate gently-used books for classrooms as many teachers have lost all materials. Cash donations are also encouraged.
