It mentions in the Bible that Jesus and his apostles used to fast. They did this before talking/praying to God and to cleanse their bodies!temples!
I believe that is why we use probiotics now and then for a thorough cleansing.

Many nutritionists and drs. say that there’s not a medical reason to “detox”–our bodies detox all the time via our livers and kidneys or our health would suffer. That said, most of the detox diets can help w/ wt. loss and can be a healthy way of eating, at least temporarily. I know that I definitely feel better if I’m not eating too many simple carbs or too much red meat or fat. I love the way we get a fresh start every January and find a good reason to once again at least attempt healthier lifestyles!
