It doesn’t seem possible that the summer is nearly over and my son will be going back to school in three short weeks. I love having my boy at home with me while I work everyday. It’s time to start preparing and get back into a routine. I love simple breakfast hacks so I can have our son fed quickly and off to school on time.
How many moms have time to cook a huge breakfast from scratch? Not this lady. I spend my mornings getting everyone around, doing chores on the farm with a goal to drop my son off at school by eight and come home to start my work day. I don’t have time for it or a mess of dirty dishes and pans.
Here’s my favorite simple breakfast hacks that will have you prepared for back to school. They’re simple and easy for all of us to fix at home. Convenience is key in our home when it comes to breakfast solutions. Breakfast doesn’t have to be hard. As long as my son is getting a good breakfast, the easier the better is best for me. I found some great solutions while shopping at Target the other day.
Simple Breakfast Hacks for Back to School
Frozen Breakfast Products. The frozen food aisle at Target is my best friend when it comes to shopping for quick breakfast solutions.
Target has some great solutions for breakfast from Jimmy Dean. I love that I can make a satisfying breakfast in 3 minutes or less with the Jimmy Dean pancake n sausage or sausage, egg, and cheese biscuits (found in the freezer aisle at Target). I get that Jimmy Dean signature taste & quality from America’s favorite sausage brand. Plus, they’re made with real ingredients – eggs, sausage and cheese. Perfect!
The Jimmy Dean pancake n sausage on a stick are our favorite! The best part is that they’re done in less than a minute in the microwave!
Enjoy with syrup or on their own!
Refrigerated Breakfast Products. While I’m talking about Jimmy Dean, I’d love to mention their refrigerated products like the Jimmy Dean fully cooked sausage patties and links are located in the refrigerated area at Target. You know, where they keep the bacon and sausage. My family loves the Jimmy Dean fully cooked sausage patties. They’re a quick and easy way to a warm, complete breakfast. My son also loves them for snacking after school too. I also love to get the Jimmy Dean fresh roll sausage. It’s perfect for homemade biscuits and gravy on the weekends when our mornings aren’t so rushed.
Frozen Smoothies. We love smoothies in our house. My son and I have a fresh green smoothie recipe that is delicious! If your kids love frozen smoothies, try making them before hand. Prep the fruit and veggies ahead of time and freeze. Drop the single servings you prepared in the blender, add milk and they’re ready to enjoy. Pair your smoothie with a Jimmy Dean frozen product and you’ve made your kids a great breakfast to enjoy quickly and conveniently.
Crockpot Breakfast. If you have more time on your hands in the evenings than I do, you can get adventurous and make a crockpot breakfast that will be ready the next morning. Although it takes more time than our simple hacks mentioned above, it is very convenient in the mornings. Try a sausage casserole with eggs, cheese, hash browns and Jimmy Dean fresh rolled sausage.
Put ingredients in the crockpot the night before and cross your fingers it will be cooked to perfection the next morning! Your family will rise to the delicious smell of Jimmy Dean sausage and you can say you’ve been working hard in the kitchen since sunrise!
