  1. I am originally from Texas and my entire family lives there!! I adore San Antonio although I haven;t been there in years. I still remember going to The River Walk and it was always the first and last thing we would see every time I went there!!

  2. I learned that “SAVE Big with Deals & Discounts in San Antonio” existed and that they even give you a map.Looks like a great way to find deals that you can afford with out going broke.

  3. I learned that Texas is the place to vacation! Unfortunately I live in PA so it would cost more to get there than the vacation itself. Someday…Someday… 🙂

  4. I’ve always wanted to visit Texas and San Antonio is one of the places I’d like to go to. There’s so much to do and so much history!

  5. Being from Canada I have never thought to vacation in San Antonio. Perhaps if we plan a vacation to the US we will consider this as an option since it looks like there is a lot to do there. My son would certainly enjoy it!

  6. I wasn’t aware of SAVE so I learned about that. I learned that it can save you hundreds of dollars on a family vacation.

  7. That SAVE program sounds like a great deal for anyone living in or planning to visit the San Antonio area.

  8. I heard everything is bigger in Texas but I didn’t know that it was cheaper too! I would love to visit Texas. The Schlitterbahn Waterpark sounds like a blast!

  9. I would love to visit San Antonio it looks like there are some good deals. It has been a few years since I was there last.

  10. It is actually on my ‘bucket list’ to make a trip to Texas. I would so love to visit one day. Unfortunately, it won’t happen this year for several reasons but I am determined to make it happen in the not too distant future! Thanks for the post! 😉

  11. I went a couple of times.but didnt stop long enough to see the sights..maybe ill go again

  12. What a beautiful place! Not sure we can still catch those deals, but it definitely goes on my list of places to see.

  14. The Riveralk is amazing. We recently did Imax and the Riverwalk and will be heading back soon. Thanks for these deals. 🙂

  15. It’s neat how you can sort through and plan your trip by viewing deals on the map, lists, and categories.

  16. Great deals – next time we are in San Antonio I’ll be checking some of them out in person. Thanks!

  17. I learned about the SAVE program and downloading coupons for a vacation. I would love to see Alamo IMAX Theatre Rivercenter. I hope to go someday.

  18. We just visited San Antonio last May and this would have been a great help to us! Next time I know where to look for savings and I DO hope to go back, it’s a lovely city! I highly recommend the River Walk and taking a day trip out to the wine country near by. And no trip is complete without seeing the Alamo!

  19. Sounds like San Antonio would be a great place to put on my list,and-lots things to do there,my take my grand kids and go have fun

  20. At which attraction are the sting rays in photo? We were lucky to get to swim with them once and it’s the neatest thing to go do!

  21. Thank you for the savings suggestions; would love to visit San Antonio one of these days (my husband already has, but would love to go as a family). 🙂

  22. WOW.I learned you can save a lot of money with discounts, coupons, and limited time offers. Great info! thanks

  23. Doing your discount “homework” before you go on vacation is JUST as important as making reservations. Spending a few hours (or evenings) online comparing prices will not only save you money, but it also frees up money for fun family attractions, nice dinners or “mommy/daddy’s vaca date”… things that you might not have been able to do if you had paid “full price”. That and who doesn’t love a free room upgrade or being able to stay at the motel with the pool (or room service breakfast-in-bed)?!?! So worth taking the time!

  24. My husband visited San Antonio about a year ago for work and he fell in love with the place. We will be going down there in a few months and we are sooo excited to see this wonderful place. Lucky the ones that live there!

  25. drove past some interesting places in san antonio last year on on our way home from sea world definitely wanna go back and check out the river walk and most definitely the Alamo! My husband, our son and I only moved here to Texas in June 2010 so it has only been a little over two years and its a very large place. We are currently 20 minutes outside Austin so San Antonio is not far at all from the places I already wanted to see there and now ready this think maybe if my husband can secure a 3 day weekend off it would be great to spend the weekend checking out the tourist spots, but even mores the vast historical places san antonio offers! My husband and I are huge history buffs and want our son to know the history and culture of his country we want him to grow up to be just as proud to be americans as his parents are, and to learn about and respect his ancestral past so he too can be a patriotic and contributing member of this great country! The country so many of his relatives and ancestors fought to defend not to mention the ones close to him such as his Uncle and Godfather Liam Norton who served several tours in Iraq and Afghanistan in the United States Army and now continues to do so as a current member of the National Guard. I want him to learn, understand and respect what his family fights for and why they do it so he is as proud of them as we are and hope he one day follows in the footsteps of his heroic godfather/uncle! =)

  26. I love SA, I use to live in Kerville, San Antonio was the closest city! The Alamo is my favorite place to visit while there!

  27. I love the San Antonio Zoo! I have such fond memories from my childhood about the San Antonio zoo. There were some other great places on this list to add to my “to visit” list for my family. 🙂

  28. I love when you can get coupons for vacations. We live far from San Antonio…bummer. However if I am ever that way I will be looking for coupons & discounts.

  29. I <3 SAN ANTONIO!!! I went with my husband this last January and out baby who was only 4 months old. We stayed right on the riverwalk and checked out some great attractions. When my daughter is older we are going to go back again!! San Antonio is home to the nicest people!

  45. Aside from the 100+ heat during the summer, San Antonio is an awesome place to vacation. There is so much to do that you will always have something different to do each day! We haven’t been for a couple of years and I think it’s time to go back maybe for a weekend when it cools down some! We live 3 hrs away! 😉

  46. I would love to take my kids to San Antonio. My sis in law has been there many times for work.

Look slike this may be our next family vacation…thanks for all the great info.

  51. San Antonio has so many family oriented things to do. And at Christmas time the River Walk is beautifully lit.

  52. I love that they offer discounts on souvenirs too! It’s nice to purchase something to remember the trips!

  53. Saving money on a trip is awesome, especially with a family. All the savings helps with the price of things now. I like how they help save with a little bit of everything needed for a trip too.

  54. I would love to visit Texas some time, my husband lived there for several years, but it’s a very long trip from VA.

  55. I was lucky enough to visit San Antonio 20 years ago to visit my dad. He is gone now and it is one of my very favorite memories. We got to do take a boat up around the RiverWalk and it was so enchanting, just stopping off here or there to get ice cream or to shop. I loved the history of the town too. My kids want to go to southern Texas and if we ever get there, I’d for sure take the time to go back. The Westin on the riverwalk would be dreamy! Thanks for all the great deals info!

  58. I am so thrilled to have found this post! We have family in San Antonio and will be taking one of our FIRST family vacations out there in a few months. 59. I learned that if my family decided to go to San Antonio we could save big by using this however I dont think we would have enough nerve to touch or be in the water with sting rays

  60. I fell in love with San Antonio when my brother was stationed there. I would love to be in the water with the sting rays. The Alamo was amazing and it was so weird that it is right in the middle of everything!

  62. I wish I’d known about this when I visited San Antonio earlier this summer! Oh well, I can use this the next time I visit. I’m particularly excited about the hotel discounts–I love the Drury Inn across from Six Flags (good location and free internet, drinks, dinner, breakfast, and parking garage usage) but it’s kind of expensive to stay there, so the SAVE discount would let me get a better rate without compromising on quality.

  63. If I were going to spend my vacation dollars somewhere else than Orlando, San Antonio would be 3rd on my list. (ComiCon being second.) I have been to Sea World in San Diego and Orlando and really think I should see them all.

  64. What a trip. I would love to visit and check out the sea animals. I have never been close to any … let alone touch them. What fun that would be and I must say the the price is awesome.

  65. Thank you for the “savings” info for traveling to San Antonio. I have been to El Paso (my Dad’s birthplace) to visit relatives and to Dallas – for a Toy Show with my job.
