Football season is upon us and that means watching the game with your favorite peeps! When we can’t be there to cheer on our favorite players in person and tailgating in the parking lot, having a homegating party is the perfect alternative. If you love to entertain then I suggest a food bar for your next football party at home! This post is sponsored by Mondelēz International but all opinions are my own.

Besides my cheese football, I like to serve things like a veggie tray, potato skins, wings and poppers. They are always a big hit! Check out the recipe below!
Jalapeño Popper Cheese Football
Prep Time: 15 min Total Time: 15 min Makes 24 servings, 2 Tbsp. cheese spread and 16 WHEAT THINS each.
What You Need
2 pkg. (8 oz. each) Neufchatel cheese, softened
1 pkg. (7 oz.) shredded reduced-fat cheddar cheese
2 Tbsp. finely chopped jalapeño peppers
3/4 tsp. garlic powder
2 green onions, chopped, divided
WHEAT THINS Original Snacks
2 tsp. light sour cream
Make It
Beat Neufchatel cheese, cheddar cheese, peppers, garlic powder and 3 Tbsp. onions in medium bowl with mixer until blended. Shape into oval to resemble a football.
Crush 15 WHEAT THINS finely; mix with remaining onions. Press into football until evenly coated with crumb mixture.
Spoon sour cream into small resealable plastic bag. Cut small piece off one bottom corner of bag; use to pipe sour cream onto football to resemble laces.
Serve with additional WHEAT THINS.
Snack Mindfully
Minimize distractions when eating to prevent mindless eating.
Variation
Omit the sour cream and substitute shredded white cheddar cheese for the regular cheddar. Reserve about 1 Tbsp. shredded cheese. Use remaining shredded cheese to prepare cheese mixture as directed. Shape into football shape, then coat with crumb mixture as directed. Use reserved cheddar shreds to make the football laces.
Make it Your Way
Increase or decrease the amount of jalapeño peppers to suit your flavor preference.
Substitute
Substitute mayonnaise for the sour cream.
