As I’ve mentioned several times in the past and shared often on my instagram page, you know that my son plays competitive travel baseball. I always have those that are new to it ask me what I suggest packing for the ballpark. My truck is seriously jam packed with baseball gear, blankets, baseballs, coolers and all these great mom essentials. Gone are the days that you just take your son and his glove. Now it takes a complete arsenal to get through the day!

Of course, you all know that I have two herniated discs in my lower back. After a year of taking matters into my own hands and not wanting to be out a significant amount of money for surgery, it is slowly getting better. I do specific exercises for my back every morning and try to make sure my shoes are very comfortable. One thing that has made my feet and back very happy are SelectFlex orthotics insoles.

Mom Essentials for Travel Baseball

Comfortable Sneakers with SelectFlex orthotics insoles. Honestly, I use them in all of my shoes whether I’m at the ballpark, working on the farm or enjoying a nice evening walk.

Sunscreen. Not only do I bring this for my son and husband but sunscreen is a must for me as well. I always try to get one with an SPF of 50 or higher. Your skin will definitely thank you!

Collapsible Folding Utility Wagon. Your back is going to appreciate this wagon more than you will ever know! These handy wagons fold up for easy storage in your car and unfold to hold a mountain of essentials. These are so great for those large complexes when you finding yourself walking a mile to get to the field. With all the essentials you’ll need for the ballpark, this is perfect for towing everything!

Small Cooler. I always bring a small cooler with water and ice packs. The ice packs double as two functions: to keep our water cold and for my son to use on his arm when he’s done pitching.

Chairs. I always travel with our camping chairs for ultimate relaxation at the ballpark!

Miscellaneous. Of course, in case I need it I always have an umbrella, blankets, jackets and a first aid kit on hand. You never know when it will rain or get chilly and boys seem to always get hurt in one way or another.

I’m seriously considering investing in one of those large umbrellas or something to shade us during those really hot days. Or, maybe one of those fun chairs that have an overhang. For now, I’m going to invest in pairs of SelectFlex for my husband and son. They’ll be perfect for my husband working all day and my active son!
