At no cost to me, K’NEX sent me its New Super Mario Bros. 2 Thwomps Building Set through its Toys “R” Us® Mom Blogger Promotion, and it is hoping that I might like it and write about it.

K’NEX New Super Mario Bros. 2 Thwomps Building Set Review

Super Mario Bros. is an absolute favorite in our house. We have always loved the Super Mario Bros. videos so we couldn’t wait to try the K’NEX New Super Mario Bros. 2 Thwomps Building Set. Of course, you know if Mario is involved that Luigi isn’t far behind. This fun set includes Fire Mario and Silver Luigi in a fun castle course journey. It even has the new K’NEX jump and disk launcher so Mario can actually run and jump. Oh how fun it is!

This set was very interactive for my son. We loved how they can go through the pipes to another side to plan. Plus, the Bone Goomba was a fun added character. The set is pretty challenging to put together. My son is eight and I ended up helping him put it together only because it took a long time. There are a lot of pieces but they did stay together well. But it did keep him busy and he does love a challenge so this was a great building set for him.

A great idea is to combine this set with the K’NEX Super Mario 3D Land™ Bowser’s Castle Building Set.
