Whether you work outside the home, from home or a stay-at-home mom, being a mom (and dad) keeps us busy! I need something convenient to eat when I’m rushing out the door every morning because even though I work from home, every day is hectic!

I’m sure you have your own morning essentials as a mom on-the-go. Here’s my essentials to a stress free (haha – yes, I said stress free) morning.

Wake up around 6 am. My son is actually always the first one up. I’ll come in the living room and he’s sitting there like he’s been awake for an hour. He is such a morning person and I love that so much about him!

Make the bed. Always make your bed every morning! My mom always taught me that you need to have your bed made every day. It makes you feel good when you come in to a nicely made bed at night.

Start chores. I head out to let the cats out of the barn, chickens out, feed cats and the dog. I always shut our cats up at night because I don’t want any varmints getting them.

Off to school. Even though the bus drives right by our house, I always drive and pick-up our son from school. He’d be on the bus for more than an hour and I hate for him to have to ride it for so long. He goes to school in the town over but it doesn’t take too long. More chores. I get home and head out to feed the cattle. Usually dad comes over to help me feed too since my husband commutes to work and has already left for the day. You honestly never know how long chores can take.

Start work. I work from home but I always like to try to start my work day by 9 am. If you live on a farm you know that it’s not always true. There can be a calf to doctor or a fence to fix.
