I honestly never imagined Cedar Rapids had such an incredible downtown district. It truly is amazing and I can’t wait to visit the city again soon. During our visit the Cedar Rapids we stayed in the DoubleTree by Hilton.

Warm Cookies. I have never stayed in a hotel where they offer you warm chocolate chip cookies at check-in. Major score! They actually gave me two at check-in which my son and I ate because at the time my husband said he didn’t want one. He seriously whined about it the next two days so I told him I was going down to the front desk to request one for his whiny behind! HAHA! He didn’t believe me until I came back to our room with three warm chocolate chip cookies. The staff was so nice they actually gave us each one! My son and I gave him crap about it the of our rest of our stay!

Friendly Staff. Of course, the cookie story above should let you know just how amazing the staff is at the DoubleTree. Every encounter I had with them was great. The staff there is friendly and professional.

Convenient Location. The DoubleTree by Hilton is in the heart of Cedar Rapids. It’s a short walk or drive to everything. It’s conveniently located in downtown Cedar Rapids, Iowa, just off I-380 (just north of I-80), and only 15 minutes from Eastern Iowa Airport. The hotel overlooks the beautifully cared for Cedar River and downtown Cedar Rapids. As an added bonus, it is attached to the U.S. Cellular Arena and U.S. Cellular Convention Center. It’s within walking distance to important businesses, including Fortune 500 companies and government offices.

Shuttle Service. Shuttle service is available for guests to attractions within a five mile radius.

Spacious Rooms. You can unwind in a spacious guest room or suite. Enjoy modern amenities such as a 42-inch HDTV and internet access. Their spacious suites with separate living and dining areas are ideal for extended stays.

Special Touches. I loved the special added touches to the room like the soaps and waters in the room.

Amenities. You can stay active and work out in the 24-hour fitness center or invigorate with a dip in the indoor pool. My son loved the pool!

Dine on Site. Dine on delicious local cuisine in the stunning rooftop restaurant, 350 First. They offer breakfast, lunch and dinner. Or, order room service for convenience.

During your stay in Cedar Rapids, depending on the time of year, attend a football game at the University of Iowa, a Kernels Baseball game or a theatrical production at the Paramount or Theater Cedar Rapids.
