Captain America The Winter Soldier Movie Review

Captain America: The Winter Soldier is now in theaters everywhere! When I was invited to LA last month, I had the opportunity to pre-screen the movie. First let me tell you… I had seen a few of the Marvel films including Iron Man, Spider-Man movies, The Wolverine, X-Men movies and a few others. They were all great movies but I was never a big superhero fan. I didn’t follow any of it. No reason why. I just didn’t.  Until now. I am hooked and plan on seeing every Marvel film that has ever been made and coming out in the future. I have some catching up to do!

Disney-Marvel’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier has launched impressively with $10.2 million at Thursday night pre-shows in the U.S.

The Thursday numbers for the “Captain America” sequel give an early indication that the Chris Evans starrer has enough potential pull to match forecasts of a domestic weekend above $90 million — which would be the top April opening of all time, eclipsing the $86 million-plus bow for Universal’s “Fast Five” in 2011.  variety.com

Captain America: The Winter Soldier is an amazing film. Amazing! Marvel does not disappoint and surprises fans like never before! Marvel takes us on a great adventure bending comic stories and taking risks venturing off into unknown territories.

Chris Evans as Captain America (also plays Steve Rogers) continues his journey in this movie living in the nation’s capital while he tries to adjust to modern times. He’s the super-powered American soldier looking to find his place in the modern world. If you aren’t familiar with the movies, he had been frozen in ice since WWII. As he struggles to embrace his role in the modern world and battles a new threat from old history: the Soviet agent and unexpected enemy known as the Winter Soldier. Sebastian Stan as The Winter Soldier is an amazing addition. I loved his character. (more…)
