Pia Gladys Perey showcased a preview of her stunning bridal collection at the Naked Princess in West Hollywood on May 5th. Draped like Grecian goddesses, the models displayed Perey’s designs beautifully. Created for real women, Pia’s dresses are meant to make every woman, of any shape and size, feel confident and sexy – they do just that and more.

 

Born in the Philippines, Pia Gladys Perey began her career as a fashion designer 8 years ago. Soon after earning a degree in politics, Pia was ready to leave the political world behind and pursue her longstanding love for fashion design. For the next 5 years Perey focused on gaining experience within the industry, until one day she hopped on a flight and volunteered during Australia Fashion Week. Sixth months later she was invited to present the launch of her new line, PGP, in Australia Fashion Week’s “New Generation Show.” Her career has been on a swift incline ever since. Angelina Jolie wore a Pia Gladys Perey design on the red carpet of her Salt movie premiere. Jolie loved it so much that she ordered 6 additional gowns! I’d say that is the official stamp of approval for any fashion designer.

 

 

Supermodel Tia Shipman was in attendance – showing full support for Pia by wearing one of her designs, an insanely gorgeous white draped gown that was… simply stunning! Perey looked equally as beautiful as they cascaded across the floor, arm in arm, donning a plunging goddess gown with a draped back. Oooh la la…

 

Bokaos Aveda Pasadena was on deck for the event and I was lucky enough to have my hair and makeup done by those lovely ladies. Braids for days…
