If you’re looking for a way to reconnect and take a romantic getaway, the Missouri treehouses are the perfect fix. Only three minutes away from downtown Hermann you’ll find nestled in the woods, the Cottage treehouses.
While you can visit the treehouses at any time of the year, the winter is the best time for relaxation and reconnecting. During the warmer months you’ll find that Hermann gets a lot of tourism so it’s definitely something to consider when booking your Hermann lodging at the treehouses.

It’s not everyday you can say you slept amongst the tree tops in an actual treehouse. At the Cottage you’ll do just that. You can select from three different treehouses. All Tree Houses are equipped with a sink, shower & toilet, A/C, heat, and mini-fridges. You’ll also find that each treehouse has a cozy queen sized bed in the loft.
Or, the Cottage also has a cute cabin nestled in the woods with a treetop spa tub. Even though you won’t be in a treehouse, it’s a great choice amongst the trees.
Cozy and Romantic
The treehouses are the perfect place to reconnect for romance. They are so cozy and the perfect place to snuggle up with your sweetheart. We loved sitting on the Adirondack chairs on the deck to enjoy the view.
Even though I highly suggest the treehouses as a romantic getaway, I also think it will be a great place to take my son. He would love staying in the treehouses.
Beautiful Breakfast
Breakfast is served in the main building at the Cottage. The main building is the perfect location for breakfast, nestled amongst the trees. It overlooks the woods and is absolutely beautiful.
You’ll be served a savory dish, a sweet dish, and a smoothie. Along with our smoothie we were served monkey bread, quiche and fruit. Everything was delicious and so filling! They can also accommodate gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan if you let them know in advance.
Visit Charming Hermann Missouri
No stay in the Missouri treehouses is complete without a visit to the charming little town of Hermann, Missouri. Hermann is only a three minute drive from the treehouses.
As you drive down Hermann’s Main Street you’ll find that it is small town America at its finest.
In Hermann and the surrounding area you’ll find wineries, museums and parks. Be sure to check out the shopping while you’re there to find the perfect quality and authentic gifts.
While in Hermann be sure to experience their amazing food and drink offerings. If you love locally sourced eateries, be sure to stop by the Harvest Table. If you’re looking for a great steak, the Tin Mill is a great option. You can find a full list of great dining options at Experience Hermann.
Just a short few minute drive from Hermann you’ll find McKittrick. We made a stop there to enjoy the Katy Trail, one of the longest railroads that has been converted into a walking path.
It’s the perfect stop for bikers, walkers, joggers and even horse-back riders.
