Pixar in a Box is a collaboration between Pixar Animation Studios and Khan Academy (sponsored by Disney). Here’s an overview of all the amazing lessons: effects, patterns, rigging, animation, environment modeling, character modeling, crowds, sets & staging, and rendering.
Now you can learn how effects are made at Pixar with Finding Dory. Learn from Pixar effects artists Eric Lacroix and Sarah Beth Eisinger. Effects is the animation of anything that moves but isn’t a character. Almost all the natural phenomenons in films such as dust, smoke fire, and water are created by the effects team. Now you can learn how it’s done with the new lesson!
In the lesson you’ll learn all about particle systems. They’ll teach you about water simulation, smooth collisions and how they create water surface using particles. The water in animation is so amazing especially in Finding Dory. The ocean looks so real!
