At no cost to me, K’NEX sent me its Typhoon Frenzy™ Roller Coaster Building Set through its Toys “R” Us® Mom Blogger Promotion, and it is hoping that I might like it and write about it.

K’NEX Typhoon Frenzy™ Roller Coaster Building Set Review

Out of all the K’NEX toys we have reviewed, the K’NEX Typhoon Frenzy™ Roller Coaster Building Set was the one my son was most excited about. I mean, it is 2.7 feet tall! The silver roller coaster car twists and turns through over 19 feet of exciting swirling, non-stop track.

The set is quite challenging with over 640 K’NEX parts and pieces that includes rods, connectors and track, and motorized power that sends the coaster car into motion. It took us a long time to put together but was definitely worth the excitement! I definitely suggest you help your child in putting it together. For my eight year old son it was something I had to assist him with or he would have been working at it for days with all of the tiny pieces. It also comes with instructions to build a second fun track.

We love that it runs like a real roller coaster with the mechanical pullies that drag the car up the ramp. Release it and down it goes! It was so fun for my son and I to watch the cars loop around the tracks. It does take up a lot of space so be prepared when you build this set.
