Feeling stuck? Noise might get your creativity going again. There is scientific proof that noise is not always a bad thing. According to the study, the noise in a coffee shop is the perfect white noise you need to get your mind out of its own way.

The noise level in a coffee shop distract you from solving a difficult trigonometry equation but has the opposite effect on your creativity. You often hear that finding a quiet place and doing nothing helps; however, a little bit a noise may be the out-of-the-box solution you need.

Get in the Box

An out-of-the-box way to increase your creativity is to get in one! Metaphorically speaking, thinking outside the box means to do something out of the ordinary. Try getting into a restricted space like a small closet. Sometimes doing something different like confining your space opens your creativity. Getting in the box may be the thing you need to do to get your mind out of one.

Just Dance

According to a study published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine, exercise not only boost your creativity, but it also puts you in a good mood. Hate exercise? Don’t worry; dance counts as exercise because dance is exercise. You’ll wake up your metabolism, tone your legs, reduce your stress, elevate your spirit, and increase your creativity. Pump up the music and dance!

Drain the Brain

Have you ever spent hours trying to solve a problem only to end up exhausted with no solution in sight? You go to bed, and then in the middle of the night, the answer shows up out of nowhere. Next time you need to come up with a creative solution, don’t grab the coffee or the energy drink. Brainstorm until your brain goes numb, then rest. You’ll find that creative thoughts pop into your head when you least expect it. Perhaps this counterintuitive and out-of-the-box solution gets your brain out of its own way.

Nourish Your Creativity

If you want to optimize your creativity, then nourish your brain. Start out with a big bowl of bone broth. It not only helps the brain, it helps your entire immune system. Grab an avocado and oxygenate your creative juices. Don’t pass on the memory-sharpening broccoli. Its high levels of choline and vitamin K will optimize your creative system. Ain’t no yolk about it — egg yolks have a high choline level. If you are pregnant, they will feed your baby’s creativity in utero!

Creativity is a tool for solving problems and innovative thinking, but you don’t have to force it. Those artful thoughts will come to you; you do not have to go to it. So the next time you feel yourself stressing out take a deep breath. Remember, sometimes you need an out-of-the-box method to help you get back your creative groove.
