The Telephone Game Sketched Out – Telestrations

I can remember playing so many great games when I was a kid… no electricity required. It was such a great time to enjoy and bond with family. I love to keep these traditions alive with my son. We were very excited to get to review the Telestrations game!

The included instructions were super easy to understand and I loved how they use the fun illustrations. My son is 9 years old and he quickly understood how to play the game even without my help.

Check out our video below on how to play!

The quick way to explain: Draw what you see, then guess what you saw. All players simultaneously sketch, pass, guess & laugh to reveal hilarious unpredictable outcomes! It was so much fun! My son and I played it together but you are actually suppose to have 4-6 players. It didn’t matter to us cause we had a lot of fun!

Here’s a short instagram video of us getting ready to play. Make sure you are following giveaway bandit on instagram. We’re always posting fun videos and pics there!

And now the fun begins! The game comes with over 800 words! Roll the dice (actually it’s just a die, but I like to say dice much better), select a card, find your word corresponding with what you rolled, sketch, pass, guess and… oh my gosh, the laughs you will have! Depending on the card and what you roll, you might get to select your own word. My son got to create his own word and he chose Mommy – must have been a bushy hair day for me. haha! Check it out below!

And here’s a book mark I drew but my son guessed a fire extinguisher. ha ha!

My son drew a telephone… I guess a cell phone. It’s funny to think this is what our kids think of when they see the word telephone. Gosh, I must be getting too old at 34!
