Looking Sharp for a Date

Individuals spend a good part of their life looking for that special person. Many young women look for a good looking and successful young man. It is important to remember that first impressions are everything. Take your time getting ready. When you go on a first date you must look your best. But be sure not to over do it. She is not going to respond well if you seem to put together or even fake. Here are a few tips to help you on your next date.

The Date Preparation:

Before your date, it is important to know what you need to do. Do you need a haircut or even a trim? Heading down to your local barber may be a good idea. They may offer a great deal a package that includes a haircut and a barber shave.

It could be a good idea to buy a new cologne or after-shave. It is a good idea to switch it up every now and again. This treat for yourself could boost your confidence for this special night. Make sure that it is not a smell that is too over-bearing. She shouldn’t be able to smell you before you walk into the restaurant. You will also want to take a second to consider if it is a smell that fits you. It may sound funny, but some smells do not fit certain people.

The Perfect Outfit:

Depending on where you are going will decided what is appropriate for you to wear. The perfect outfit is not just important for girls. The right type of clothing can be important. A tuxedo may not be right for a walk in the park. And regular slacks may not be appropriate attire for a fancy restaurant. But finding what will be comfortable and suitable for date is important. Don’t dress over the top if that is not your personality. You want her to get to know you. Putting on a show and dressing to impress are two separate things.

Some may be looking for a soul-mate, and others just want to have a good time. But no matter the reason for your date, dress for success. But even the dates that follow that first impression are important. The effort you put forth should never stop. Go to the barber before each date. Continue to go out and buy a new cologne for her. Take time to find new ways to show her different sides of you. She know that you can be casual. But, take her out to a fancy restaurant in a tuxedo. It is important to keep things fresh and interesting.

  1. Great advice! I don’t date anymore, but when I did I really appreciated a man who looked nice for the date. It says so much! And I agree, over dressing is as bad as under dressing.

  2. Awesome advice, I think most of the people who are married just do not make an effort to dress up anymore. I guess i develops over time.

  3. That’s definitely good advice! So many guys seem to be clueless when it comes to what to wear for a date, so this should help out a lot!

  4. I’ve been married for almost 7 yrs and can’t wait to go on “date night” with hubby.. its been quite awhile since we were able to.

  5. I made my daughter read this review. You would not believe the outfits she wears going on dates.

  6. I always make an effort to look presentable for my boyfriend, even if it’s something as simple as sitting down for a night of tv
