Rubberific Shredded Rubber Mulch Giveaway

If you do any landscaping around your home I’m sure you’ve used mulch. Have you ever used rubber mulch? It is new to me! I’m definitely thinking it is something I should try. I put out several bags of cedar mulch this Spring and my chickens scratched it everywhere! It was everywhere but where it should have been when they got done with it. I had convinced myself I should put small rocks there so maybe they wouldn’t bother it but maybe the rubber mulch would be the way to go. I love the look of mulch much better than rocks around my flowers and bushes. Check out what my chickens done below:

Those little stinkers!

Rubberific has teamed up with Ditta’s Gifts, us and a few other amazing sites to bring one of our lucky fans a “TON” of Rubberific Mulch in this Rubberific Shredded Rubber Mulch Giveaway! Enter to win below but first learn more about this rubber mulch below.

Ditta’s Gifts and Savings was given the amazing opportunity to review a “ton” (80-16 pound bags) of Shredded Rubberific Mulch!  You can read her full review HERE!

Now what are your thoughts when you hear “rubber mulch”?  I was thinking hmm..  how can this be good for your plants instead of using the wood mulch.   WELL, let me tell us tell you a few of the amazing benefits to using rubber over wood!

Due to the weight of the Rubberific Mulch, it lays on the dirt and inhibits the weeds from being able to grow!  Your plants are above the mulch growing therefore letting them still grow and become stronger with the mulch doing it’s job to lock in the moisture!  Hey, NO, that is not a bad thing because the Rubberific Mulch inhibits the growth of  molds or Fungi, as stated below.

  1. Rubberific mulch is 100% recycled!  The normal wear and tear on your everyday driving and those tires need to be replaced.  GUESS where they go?  Let’s not leave them on the side of the roads any longer, have them recycled into MULCH!  This is a big problem, but there is a solution!
  2. ASTM For fall Height! Certified to comply with ASTM F 1951 (ADA)
  3. Made in the United States
  4. Inhibits the growth of molds and fungi, and reducing allergy risk
  5. Does not attract termites, carpenter ants, or other harmful insects.
  6. Will not fade, rot, compress, will not lose it’s original beauty, even after years of exposure to the elements.
  7. Preserves ground moisture without absorption, helping to keep plants healthy
  8. Five times heavier than wood mulch, will not float nor erode during heavy rains and flooding!

How can it be better for playgrounds?

Did you know that every 3.5 minutes there is a child being rushed to a medical center for playground injuries?  Well wood chips and even just plain ground, reaks havoc on our children!  There is no fall protection under those monkey bars, the ends of slides, not even under the swings!  Well Rubberific Mulch helps in the cushioning of a falling child.  Just think about how you rubber bounces.  So what are your thoughts on your child falling on rubber rather than wood chips?!

Hmm.  My thoughts are, that I would rather have rubber under my boys, rather than wood (splinters), or the hard compacted dirt!

  1. If I won this I would use this in the front of the yard. We have rocks but we really want mulch to kill the weeds and also to make our front yard look beautiful. We need a change.

  2. Our front yard is in desperate need of a makeover. We had a couple of trees die and having the trees removed caused some strain on the surrounding areas – looks bad. Time to rethink the yard!

  3. Thanks for the giveaway. I have used this product in the past and loved it. I would use this mulch in my flower bed in the front yard and under my back deck where everything gets washed away.

  4. This would be great for places in the yard where there’s not much room to plant flowers but weeds keep popping up.

  5. If I were to win I would use this on my flower beds in my front yard, they have needed to be re-done for a long time, but I haven’t really been able to justify the expense. This would make my yard look so much better.

  6. If I won I would give this is to my mother in law she has beautiful flower beds and this would look amazing in her yard.

  7. I would use to landscape. I currently use pine needles and have to do it every year. I would only have to put this rubber mulch out once and would last for years and years.

  8. uhm, if you seen my yard right now you would understand, we had our property logged (over 172 trees on 9 acres and they left the tree tops for us to clean up, plus our basement flooded so we have to dig up our foundation, we are getting new siding and building a deck out back) so we have lot’s of work going on and will be completely changing the landscaping at our new home.

  9. We are trying to turn half our backyard into a playground for our children to cut down on watering and still have an enjoyable yard for the kids. We’d use it to be able to do this project!

  10. I would use this for landscaping my garden because my garden is in desperate need.
This mulch would make my yard soft for my grandson.

  11. this would go in my aunts back yard – so her grandbabies (who I’ve “adopted” as my nieces) can all play and not get hurt!

  12. I will use it for landscaping around the house. I have used wood mulch in the past but stop when my plants were infested with little worms.

  13. We just got our first house so now we cannot afford anything! Lol. This is so desperately needed for everything imaginable. Landscaping, play area, flower beds. This is so much safer for my girls than wood or stones. Thanks for this exciting offer!

  14. There are so many advantages to plastic mulch, even without being green. It would be fantastic to use this in my yard to replace the old tired stuff. Might even share some with my sister

  15. I will use this in my backyard. We have spent many days clearing by hand an access to the lake and this would be a great alternative to hauling in sand.

  16. I love to grow flowers and I was told rubber mulch is much better, keeps bugs away. I need to put the mulch around my flowers and brushes

  17. I would love to win and use the rubber mulch on all my flower beds. We have a lot of them and the weeds grow in faster than we can pull or kill them. I am sold on rubber mulch because I know it lasts season after season.

  18. I would use this around and under my children’s swingset in the back yard because it’s much safer than wood mulch should they fall.

  20. I am currently doing my backyard with wood mulch because its in my budget but I wanted to do rubber for the kids swing set area and to play. This would be amazing to win!!!

  21. We have wood mulch which is old,dry and faded out….would love to try this and it being recycled/eco-friendly really thrills me!!

  22. I’m not sure if I’d donate it to my local playground for the equipment there, we’re a small town and its hard to raise funds for the playground or if I’d keep it for my own landscaping.

  23. I would use Shredded Rubberific Mulch in our landscaping of the front and back yards as well as to create a play area for our children.

  24. I will use this on landscaping and around out above ground pool to replace the wood mulch I already have and keep out weeds.

  25. I would use this in several places it would be perfect around my pool, and also around the kids treehouse, and swingset I have lots of uses for it

  26. We are in the process of building our basement for our house and planning on moving into it when we have a finished basement..I am wondering if this product would be useful as a decorative/sealant around the daylight basement..we are building it 4 feet underground and 4 feet above until we have entire house built hopefully by end of next fall.

  27. I would use it in landscaping since the redwood bark I tried to use is a big mistake, tracks in terribly on shoes and pets.
