  2. I usually spend Thanksgiving with my boyfriend’s family, unfortunately my father and I no longer speak and I am not close to any other family. We always have a good time and his mother definately puts out a spread.

  4. Thanksgiving was always at my Uncles house with my Grandma, Mom, Dad, Uncle’s family…but Grandma & Dad are both gone and Uncle just had quintuple bypass surgery so plans are kinda on hold, probably go eat at the in-laws, she makes me green bean casserole, yum

  5. I’m nt sure what we will be doing for Thanksgiving – depends on who is here and who goes up to my sister’s! LOL All I am sure about is we will be having turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy and pumpkin pie for sure!

  6. Hopefully all three daughters will make it. They all live out of town now, so it would be great if they can all be here together at the same time!

  7. We always go to my father in law’s for Thanksgiving. So we will be spending the day with my husband’s side of the family. Everyone usually stays around for 2 or 3 days so it’s lots of catching up & good times.

  8. This year it will be just our family and the in-laws. I always host Thanksgiving, but never quite know how many are showing up until a few weeks ahead of time.

  9. We always have Thanksgiving dinner with my Mom’s side of the family, so I’m sure we will be doing that again this year. Always look forward to seeing everyone. 🙂

  10. We will be trying to make the best of having no family within 1500 miles and not very many close friends. We will cook dinner together as a family and just enjoy eachother’s company. We have to try to start making our own traditions, or we’ll just be homesick every year.

  11. I want to go out of town, but we’ll probably be going to the in-laws. 😉 Which is fine, my son LOVES to see his grandma and grandpa. 🙂

  12. I will go to my grandmother’s with my parents and kids, my husband has to work (Us Coast guard) so we will celebrate on the Friday with a fried turkey 🙂

  13. I’ll be spending this Thanksgiving with my fiance’s family and helping his grandparents prepare the Thanksgiving meal. I’m looking forward to spending our first holiday together! 🙂

  14. we usually just buy the already made thanksgiving dinners from a local restaurant..i love not having to cook haha. and it’s worth it because we don’t have a lot of family close by

  15. This year my boyfriend and I will be having Thanksgiving dinner together because there’s a good chance the football team he coaches will still be playing in the playoffs

  16. We usually work on Thanksgiving and my boys and their families go to their inlaws house and then I try to do something for Thanksgiving the weekend after and my sons and families attend my gathering.

  17. We go to my moms every year, which is like a mile down the road, lol. but my brother and his kids, my sister and her family and my kids are all there! So its nice family time.

  19. we will be hanging our with our friends from Brazil like we usually do, enjoying turkey and other yummy ethnic foods for Thanksgiving and planning our BF shopping.

  20. This is the first Thanksgiving in over 12 years that my husband get more than Thanksgiving Day off and he doesn’t have to get home early to open his store for black Friday sales. In the past, the holidays were horrible, but he left retail and we will get to actually spend some time with both our families.

  21. My husband’s dad’s family always has a reunion. There are 22 aunts and uncles and too many kids and grandkids to count.

  22. We will be staying in town since this is the first holiday since his Mother passed…and it’s her birthday that day as well.. It just makes sense to stay close to home this year..

  24. We’ll be spending Thanksgiving at home, just the two of us, but I’ll be cooking a big meal nonetheless–all the trimmings!

  25. When I was little, my dad decorated our house in like some glitzy fancy style. We had the fancy dining room furniture and huge crystal chandelier and china cabinet with real china and silver. The ONE day we could eat in there was on Thanksgiving. I always thought that was so weird.
