  1. Actually, this would be perfect for my middle daughter. She sells her artwork at anime conventions, and in addition to the printed-up artwork she sells, she does a lot of on-site commissions. Something like this would be invaluable for her to have. It’s compact enough that she could keep it with her at her table in Artists Alley (our all-in-one printer/scanner is just too big to drag with us). I’ve actually been looking for a more portable scanner for her. Oh, and if we win, I would definitely be using it to scan in decades’ worth of family photos. We lost quite a few to a basement flood a while back, and I want to get all the others scanned into my computer and backed up – just in case.

  2. I am the keeper of my family’s photos, so I have thousands. Some are very old and I would love to scan them for safekeeping.

  3. I think my stepmom could really use something like this. There is no telling how many photos she has. She had a living room wall literally covered from midway to top with pictures framed plus she has about 5 different photo albums and when my grandma passed away she was given several albums that my grandma had. So she has a TON of pictures and could definitely use this.

  4. That would be me! I took over 5000 in October alone while we were in China. I’m sure I have well over 100,000!

  5. the family reunion could really use this.. someone is always bringing really old pictures of long gone relatives with them. and they all need to be archived. I can’t begin to even think about the number of old pictures that really need to be scanned between all the extended family.

  6. My family in general, we all do family history projects, scrap booking, art projects. Would make it a lot easier especially when your out and about.

  7. My brother has a carton of photos taken from my father’s house after his death. Still waiting for them to be scanned and redistributed to the family.

  8. I could really use this! I have tons of photos from my grandparents and great grandparents that I would like to scan for my family history research.
