Farmland Partners with the National FFA Organization

During high school I was very involved in many different activities including the National FFA Organization. FFA opened many doors for me after high school and into college. I was very excited to partner with the Mom It Forward Influencer Network and Farmland to share this with all of you.

Farmland FFA

I have always lived on a farm which taught me to be responsible and hardworking but through the FFA I learned how to be focused and work hard for my future. Because of the FFA I earned many different scholarships for college. It is an amazing organization that I am proud for my son to join in a few years.

My high school FFA chapter was very large considering we had less than 100 kids in our high school. I had an excellent FFA advisor that allowed us to excel in all areas. Starting my freshman year I was placed on judging teams with four of my closest girl friends. Every year we went to state and excelled in our areas including dairy cattle, beef, swine and horse judging. Our team was definitely a force to be reckoned with and it brings back so many wonderful memories!

Farmland FFA

Farmland, a leading brand of bacon, sausage, and ham, is proud to partner with the National FFA Organization, formerly known as Future Farmers of America, to support the future of agriculture. I love that with every Farmland item purchased now through September 30, Farmland will donate $0.10 to FFA, up to $75,000. These donations will help FFA continue to further its mission of making a positive difference in the lives of students and shine a light on the agricultural industry.

In addition to the donation, Farmland will provide grants to select Midwestern FFA chapters later this year, providing financial support to high school students working on animal care projects. Animal care projects was definitely a passion of mine. I was very involved in showing horses but also showed cattle and swine. My son shows poultry and is excited to start getting involved in showing larger animals. He already has his own small herd of cattle. It’s the perfect way for him to learn responsibility and start saving for his future.

I am a huge supporter of the National FFA Organization and purchasing products that support such a great organization is important to me. It’s an organization I will forever hold close to my heart.

Farmland Bacon

It is so important, more now than ever, to support our local farmers. I am extremely proud to say I live on a farm and support local companies. Think about the products you purchase and what these companies can offer back to our communities. There is nothing stronger than a local FFA chapter and a farming community! I am proud to say I am a part of both.
