Dinner-in-a-pinch hacks

I’m sure most of you can relate to me when I say there is never enough time in the day. Every day I am running around trying to finish everything for work and my family. With the holidays and winter quickly approaching it gets even busier. I don’t know how we manage to juggle everything as we do as moms but we seem to get it done.

Once dinner time rolls around I’m tried and it’s nice to be able to fix a quick meal that I know my family will love. With all the extracurricular activities and sports we are often too busy for a huge meal so that’s why I love easy mealtime solutions and those great dinners-in-a-pinch.

Frozen Meals and Veggies. Frozen meals are definitely the quickest way to prepare dinner for our families. Don’t be afraid to look at the freezer aisle for dinner-in-a-pinch solution. Frozen vegetables are a great way to quickly add a side for supper.

Kidfresh Walmart

My favorite solution are the new Kidfresh meals, now available at Walmart. They are the perfect meal time, snack or lunch solution. These meals will allow me to serve my son a quick meal or snack without compromising on the quality. These frozen meals are a simple, convenient solution and are both nutritious and delicious. My son absolutely loves them for lunch or dinner.

Even though my son loves his veggies, I love that Kidfresh meals have up to ½ cup of hidden veggies offering the best in kids nutrition. Kidfresh provides nutritious meals for lunch, snacks and dinner.

Use your Crockpot. The crockpot is one of my dear friends. I love using her especially in the winter months. I can put all of the ingredients in her before the day starts and have a delicious, warm meal ready for my family at dinner time. One of my families favorite crockpot recipes I make is Crock Pot Pasta Fagioli Soup.

Plan Meals in Advance. On the weekend make a list of the meals for the following week, go shopping and gather everything you need. Instead of trying to decide what to make every night and making unneeded trips to the store, you’ll be prepared and can quickly prepare a meal for your family.

Prepared Meals. If you plan meals in advance as mentioned above, you can easily prepare your meals ahead of time too. Take a Sunday afternoon to prepare all the meals for the week in advance. It will save you time and money. Even though you may feel like you’re wasting a whole Sunday afternoon cooking, you’ll be happy you did once you have all that extra time every evening.

  1. Great dinner ideas! Dinner can be so difficult on those busy days. These ideas make it so much easier to get a good meal (that my kids will actually eat!) on the table.

  2. Those Kidfresh meals look really great. The Cheesy Pizza, Cheesy Ravioli and Fish Sticks look especially good. I may have to try them for myself. Thanks for all of the helpful meal tips!
