DIY Catnip Yarn Ball Cat Toy

Supplies:

Styrofoam balls
Tacky or modge podge glue
Yarn
Glue gun with glue sticks
Dried catnip

Instructions:

I chose golf ball sized styrofoam balls but you can find these in a variety of sizes. Roll the balls in tacky glue. I used my finger to cover the ball but you could also use a paint brush.
Pour catnip onto your work surface. Roll the balls in the catnip to cover completely.
Allow the styrofoam balls time to dry.
Start you yarn on the ball over the catnip using your glue gun. To start I pushed in the yarn with an ice pack. Either way will work fine. I placed dots of glue every so often. Wrap the yarn around different directions to fully cover the ball and leave six inches or so of the yarn hanging for the cat to grab onto.
