Disney Bloggers Pixar Inside Out Press Trip

I am very excited to announce that I will be heading to San Francisco next week on my third press trip for Disney bloggers for Pixar’s Inside Out. As you may know, I have attended press trips in LA with Disney bloggers for Into the Woods and Muppets Most Wanted. Both were absolutely amazing and it has been such an honor to be invited. I am especially excited about this trip since it will be in San Francisco. I have never been there but have heard it is a must visit city.

Honestly, many people think we get to go on vacation on these press trips… yes, it is a vacation and I actually feel much more rested than when I am at home tending to the farm BUT these press trips are definitely very busy and we work our butts off the whole time. As Disney bloggers we work very hard to share with you new movies and places we get to travel. We want you to go see these movies so you can come back and give us your opinion. Plus, I get to interview a lot of amazing people on these press trips and I need your help in coming up with the perfect questions.

Here’s a bit of what I’ll get to do on this press trip:

First, we will all (25 bloggers) be staying at the Hilton Garden Inn. I’ve stayed at several Hilton properties and I expect this one will be just as beautiful and accommodating as the rest. On our first day we will get to visit Pixar Animation Studios where will will be screening LAVA (introduced by Director James Murphy & Producer Andrea Warren) as well as footage from INSIDE OUT (introduced by Director Pete Docter & Producer Jonas Rivera).

The next day we will head back over to the Pixar Animation Studios for INSIDE OUT filmmaker presentations, which include:

FROM SCRIPT TO SCREEN:
Hear from Co-Director Ronnie del Carmen & Story Supervisor Josh Cooley about the story process and how a sequence is taken from the script page to the screen in storyboards.
INSIDE THE MIND:
Discover what it took to create the look of the world and characters inside Riley’s mind with Production Designer Ralph Eggleston.
RILEY CAM vs. MIND CAM:
Get a look from behind the camera with Director of Photography Patrick Lin at the world inside and out of Riley’s mind.
GET ANIMATED:
Witness a mock “animation dailies” session with Supervising Animators Shawn Krause & Victor Navone and hear about the inspiration and direction of how Riley’s Emotions were animated. You will also participate in a demo with Directing Animator Jamie Roe and hear from Story Artist Tony Fucile about the unique “draw overs” that he would do to help the animators address notes from the film’s director Pete Docter.
LIGHTING JOY:
Lighting Artist Angelique Reisch gives you a look at the technical challenges the Lighting team had on the film, as they worked to light the worlds outside and inside Riley’s mind.
THE MINDS BEHIND “INSIDE OUT”:
Filmmaker roundtable with the Director Pete Docter & Producer Jonas Rivera.

We will then have a tour of the Pixar campus.

Later that day we will head to an AMC theater for a screening of Disneynature’s MONKEY KINGDOM. After the screening we will have a Q&A with Disneynature Marketing Lead Paul Baribault and Consultant Kristina Reed (Academy Award winning Producer of FEAST). After that we will enjoy a dinner at Chevys Fresh Mex restaurant (http://www.chevys.com/).

The last day of our trip we will get to enjoy a guided tour of the Walt Disney Family Museum. We will get to visit the Learning Center for hands-on studio activites, lunch at the café and a stop at the gift shop.
